Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed)
- AdvaMed, fromerly know as the Health Industry Manufacturers Association (HIMA) is
a Washington, D.C.-based trade association and the largest medical technology association
in the world. HIMA represents more than 700 manufacturers of medical devices, diagnostic
products, and medical information systems.

Advocacy Association (IPAA) -- IPAA is a non-profit organization that works closely

National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI)
The NIRI The is a not-for-profit professional organization whose mission is to advance the
practice of investor relations and the professional competency and stature of its members.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PhRMA) --
PhRMA is an industry association comprised of approximately 100 U.S. companies committed
to pharmaceutical research. The site has an excellent section on "Drugs in
Development", along with industry facts and figures, health guides, answers to
frequently asked questions and other pharmaceutical industry news.

Science Dictionary -- An online science dictionary, provided by the University of
Texas, containing over 8,300 life science terms regarding biochemistry, biotechnology,
botany, cell biology and genetics.
Britannica.com -- Britannica Encyclopædia is
available online and the Britannica.com also provides a World Wide Web navigation service
that classifies, rates, and reviews more than 65,000 Web sites into 14 subject areas.
Government Information Sharing Project --
The Government Information Sharing Project is funded by the U.S. Department of Education
and administered at Oregon State University Libraries. A comprehensive statistical
resource for small and large businesses, economic development professionals, researchers,
students, educators, journalists, state and local government agencies, and more.
Guide to Understand Financials -- The Guide
to Understanding Financials, provided by IBM, is a slow loading, but useful reference
for understanding corporate annual reports.
Medical Matrix -- Medical Matrix

Profnet -- ProfNet, the Professors Network, is an

investigative reporters & editors as a way to provide a variety of resources to

grant from the Hillman Foundation, the project has evolved to its current state over the
course of more than a year.
